How do we live a life of impact in a country with so much need and diversity? How do we reach out to others, without hurting and undermining them? How do we make a meaningful contribution in the new millennium?

Stuck in Acts!

32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34 There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.
36 Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means Son of Encouragement), 37 sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.(Acts 4)

What a read. I am encouraged by the book of Acts. I guess this is the answer. Reading an inspiring blog this morning by Brian Russel, I realized why I am stuck in Acts. I'm going back to the first church to figure it all out again........ For so long we were following this mega church vibe and then the next...... I believe God through His Son Jesus should be followed, because He is the One that calls us and gives meaning to our lives. Brian challenges us to go back to Scriptures, the Word and the Truth.

Read Acts 4 again, it is a good read!
