How do we live a life of impact in a country with so much need and diversity? How do we reach out to others, without hurting and undermining them? How do we make a meaningful contribution in the new millennium?

God is a DJ

The following words are from a song of a British dance group called Faithless. It's quite a catchy song and gets you moving.
"God Is A DJ (Yes He Is)
"This is my church
This is where I heal my hurts
This is my church
This is where I heal my hurts
This is my church
This is where I heal my hurts
It's a natural grace
Of watching young life shape
It's in minor keys
Solutions and remedies
Enemies becoming friends
When bitterness ends
This is my church [2x]
This is where I heal my hurts
For tonightGod is a DJ
This is my church
This is where I heal my hurts

This is very true in South Africa. Most of the people go to clubs Fridays and Saturdays to dance into the morning hours. I was wondering how many of them actually have a spiritual experience while they are there. I was thinking that most of them actually find more healing there than in church. This made me think about the concept of church once again.

Secondly, what if God was a DJ and all of us were doing the dance of life? Shouldn't we be moving to his rhythms? Should we not get the beat from the DJ, making the music for all of us to enjoy?
